Can I just drive my own vehicle up to the monument?

No. The road is inaccessible by private vehicle.  The only way to visit Our Lady up close is to purchase a ticket to the tour.

Where are the best viewing spots if I'm not taking a tour?

The best place to view the statue without taking a tour is from the designated pull-out along I-15, which offers a safe and convenient location to stop and admire the monument. The Lady of the Rockies is also visible from many areas throughout the Butte community. However, to see the statue up close and fully experience the site, we encourage visitors to book a guided tour.

Can visitors go inside the monument?

Yes, guests on the tour are able to go inside the monument.

When is Our Lady open for tours?

Tour season is weather dependent.  We try to offer up to three tours daily June, July and August. September and October are weather permitting.

What times are Our Lady tours offered?

Tours are currently available at 10:00am, 2:00pm, and 6:00pm. Keep an eye on the tour calendar on our website for the most up to date tour schedule.

Where do the tours depart from? Do I have to meet the tour group there?

All tours leave from the Our Lady of the Rockies Gift Shop, located at 3100 Harrison Avenue. You must join your tour group at the gift shop. A short introductory film about the statue’s history will be shown prior to departure.

How long is the Lady of the Rockies tour?

Each tour lasts approximately three hours.

How much does the tour cost?

Can you hike to Our Lady of the Rockies?

No. The Lady of the Rockies is located on private property. Access is only available through a scheduled tour.

Why can't I drive to the Lady of the Rockies?

Although the road leading to the statue is not gated, it is a private road. There is no public parking available at the site, and stopping or blocking the roadway is not permitted. 

The Lady of the Rockies is located on private property and access is restricted. We kindly ask all visitors to respect the privacy of homeowners and local businesses by booking an official tour to visit the statue.
