As you stand before the chapel, facing the Memorial Wall for mothers, you’ll read the names of mothers from all over the world. Sons, daughters, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren travel for miles to Our Lady of the Rockies to celebrate the women in their lives.
Our Lady of the Rockies is run by volunteers and funded mostly by donations from the community. Along with the Women’s Memorial Wall, there are two other funds
Our Mission
To Recognize the Dignity of Motherhood and the Sacrificial Love a Mother has for her child, without regard to Nationality or Belief in a manner that honors All Women and lifts the human spirit in love, peace and joy, and to maintain the Statue and support facilities in such a way that future generations will treasure Our Lady of the Rockies for what it represents.
Light the Lady
The Light the Lady fund exists to allow our donors to see their donation in action. Choose this fund if you would like to Light the Lady for a night in honor of a loved one.
Lights are published weekly on our social media accounts and once a month in the Butte News. Please submit lights at least one week before the memorial date.

Women’s Memorial Wall
Our Lady of the Rockies is dedicated to all women, regardless of religion. Around the base of the observatory on the mountain is a wall covered with the names of over 15,000 women who have died around the world.
This fund is an opportunity to not only help Our Lady of the Rockies, but to have a loved one’s name added to the Women’s Memorial Wall as well.
